Trip Expectations
On our trip, I am most looking forward to seeing China, Australia, and Antarctica.
In China, am looking forward to seeing the Great Wall of China, panda bears, and eating Chinese food. In Australia, I would like to see platypuses, koalas, and the Great Barrier Reef. And in Antarctica, I hope I can see penguins, seals, and polar bears.
I’m not sure that I want to go to Kenya, Ecuador, or the Galapagos because they’re on the equator and they will probably be really hot. I do want to go to the Galapagos though, because we will be going on a boat.
There are lots of animals that I am looking forward to seeing. I am looking forward to seeing whales, fish, platypuses, koalas, panda bears, and maybe some dogs.
In school I will probably learn a lot more than I would usually learn. I am looking forward to writing reports on animals and other topics. We will also do a lot of work on the plane rides. I think we will learn and do a lot of new things on our trip.
This is Scallop. She is really lazy. In this picture, she is curled up in a ball.

Hi Gibson,
I hope you will write often about your trip because I love knowing where you and your family are and what you are doing. If you learn any great math tips, let me know. I bet you were glad to get off the plane in Sydney.
Tell your Dad that if he has found the answer to staying young and not aging, he should buy an airline and start booking flights! I look forward to keeping up with you and your family.
Love to all,
Sallie Barnes

Dear Gibson,
With much love and a bit of green-eyed jealousy, Mrs. T.
I miss seeing you at school, but I am so excited for you and your family. I enjoyed reading your blog. Your love for wombats shines through. I am so impressed with the improvement that your writing has shown since I first began reading your work last year. However, I can’t help but to remind you about run-ons and proofreading for non-specific words such as “lots.”

Hi Gibson & Sterling,
We are having a lot of fun reading your blog. How cool that you saw a duckbilled platapus and held a koala and wambat!
You are so lucky that you get to go to the Galapagos and the Antartic. I have always wanted to go to both of these places. I am lookingt forward to reading your blog about your visit to those places. Be sure to take lots of pictures.
Have a great time.
Your friend, Rigby
